The Alternative Parcels Company (The APC) – the UK’s largest independent parcel delivery network – has received a prestigious RoSPA Award, demonstrating its commitment to the highest standards of accident prevention.
This marks the third consecutive year that The APC has achieved a Gold Award, recognising its strong health and safety performance and ongoing commitment to protecting its people.

The RoSPA Awards are an annual programme that recognises organisations prioritising health and safety across their operations. Now in its 70th year, it is the UK’s largest and most impactful health and safety awards scheme. Each year, more than 2,000 entries are received from over 60 countries, representing over seven million employees. The awards provide a platform to showcase organisations’ commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in health and safety.
The application process helps organisations improve their health and safety standards by encouraging reflective practice, supporting continuing professional development (CPD), and reinforcing the importance of ongoing learning in reducing workplace accidents.
By receiving a RoSPA Award, The APC joins a distinguished group of organisations dedicated to keeping employees and the public safe.
RoSPA is a leading voice in health and safety, committed to reducing avoidable accidents. Its vision is to create a life free from accidental injury. Through campaigning, government engagement, its globally recognised awards programme, and a range of professional qualifications, RoSPA supports organisations and individuals in improving workplace safety and preventing accidents and ill health.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said:
“RoSPA congratulates The APC on its RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards achieved by The APC are the result of hard work and dedication, of which the company should be rightly proud, and which RoSPA is delighted to recognise.
2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come over the past 70 years. It is the commitment of health and safety leaders like The APC that people today are safer at work than ever before, setting an inspiring example for the future.”
The RoSPA Awards are sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), a leading global organisation that provides internationally recognised health, safety and environmental qualifications, helping to raise standards and competence across workplaces worldwide.
